In loving memory of Mary-Ann Vigna-Brown who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North with her family at her side on Thursday, August 25th, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary-Ann was born on September 1st, 1971, in Sudbury, Ontario, the beloved daughter of Armando (predeceased) and Candida Vigna.
Mary-Ann will be forever missed by her three beautiful daughters, Chriss (Jordan) and Jasmine (along with their father, Doug, and stepmother, Michelle), and Taylor (and her father, John).
Cherished Nonna of Jayna, Alayna, and Jiraiya (whose upcoming birth Mary Ann was anxiously awaiting).
Loving sister of Gianni (Karin) and Peter (Edith).
Dear aunt of Sophia, Matteo, Daphne, Marco, and Bianca.
Special sister-in-law to Roxanne Ranger and Jen Brunelle.
Mary-Ann will be fondly remembered by Gordon and Diane Brown.
She will be sadly missed by her godparents, Frank and Santina Marasco, along with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Thanks to cousin Maria Santoro for taking Mary-Ann to her doctor and treatment appointments.
Mary-Ann was blessed to have her lifelong friend, Lori MacInnis (whom she referred to as her sister), at her side in her final moments.
Mary-Ann dedicated her life to her family and was a constant support for her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker who loved her job at Community Living Greater Sudbury where she had many special friends. In her younger years, she won Athlete of the Year at St Francis, an honour she was incredibly proud of. Mary-Ann will be remembered for her zest for life, her generous spirit, and the light she shone on so many lives.
Memorial Mass to be held at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591Brennan Street, Sudbury on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 1pm. Friends may gather after 12:30pm Friday. Cremation with ashes to be entombed in the Civic Mausoleum.
