It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, Mary Ann Skinner on Thursday April 14th, 2022 at the age of 94. Leaving behind to feel the great loss are her children Mike(Ollie), Theresa, Henry Joseph (Lorina), Pat (Aurelia), Sis, Bridget (Claude), Tom, (Marti), Dave (Denise), Cheryl (Todd), 21 grandchildren, 30 great grand children, 4 great great grandchildren, brother Gerald Smith ( Barb) and a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Also feeling this great loss are her amazing homecare workers Amanda and Shannon. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Joseph, Sons Albert and Ron, grandchildren A.J. and Philip, Sons in law Art and Jerry, Daughter in law Sharon, Parents Beatrice and Thomas Smith and her 2 Sisters and 5 Brothers. Mom was an avid knitter and loved a good game of pass the ace. Through the years, Mom loved her travels to Ontario to visit her family as well as having her family visit her at home. Mom was a wonderful Nanny, Super Nanny and Great Nanny. Mom was a very religious person and never lost her faith in God. The family would like to thank the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, especially Dr.Dwyer, Wendy Squire and Michelle McMahon White for their kindness and compassion. Also thanks to Father Lou and Father O’Quinn for their hospital visits. Also Martha Wall for cutting and curling Mom’s hair. Family will welcome visitors at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Tuesday, April 19 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral will take place Wednesday, April 20th at 11 am. Interment to follow at Tea Cove Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto.
