SMITH, Mary Alice, Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Centre on April 27, 2022 Mary Smith of Norman’s Cove at the age of 85. A wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother. Beautiful lady with a heart of gold. Known and loved by all. Well known in the community for her garden, her generosity, and her bread. She opened her home, her arms and heart to many. Family meant everything to her. It didn’t matter if you were blood related or not, she accepted you and loved you as her own. She will leave an empty space in the hearts of many.
Predeceased by her husband, Eldridge G. Smith, parents; Nathanial and Jane Newhook, siblings; William Newhook and Clarence Newhook.
Leaving behind brothers; Wince & Evelyn Newhook: John & Virginia Newhook, sisters; Marcie & Harvey Piercey. Children: Berdina & Carl Smith, Laurence & Tammy Smith; Andrew Smith; Scott & Susan Smith.
Grandchildren: Ginger Burke, Christie Cooper, Sara Didham, Russell Smith, Cory Smith, Angela Smith, Carley Mitchell, Melissa Smith, Ashley Power, Stacey Power, Tonja Janes. Great-Grandchildren: Michael, Cody, Hannah, Noah, Emma, Leah, James, Isla, Jordon, Bailey, Shelby, Elizabeth, Levi, Jackson, Rylee, Keegan.
