Obituary of Martin Joseph Solcz
Peacefully on February 2, 2022, Martin Solcz of Martin’s Transmission of Timmins passed away. Survived by sister Helen and favourite cousin Mike. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Mary and brother Vince.
Martin Solcz was born in Hunta, Ontario. Martin loved his work and lived for his business. Martin moved from Timmins to the Kingsville area after he closed his business to be closer to family. Martin may not have been the biggest man physically, but he was ten feet tall in personality. If you wanted something done right, go see Martin. If you wanted an honest answer, go see Martin. He was a real straight shooter.
A special thank you to the palliative care team at Hotel-Dieu Grace in Windsor. The care provided to Martin by all of the nurses and doctors was truly exceptional.
A funeral service for Martin will take place on Wednesday February 9th, 2022 at 11:00am at Denning’s of Strathroy. Registration is required.
