Obituary
We have lost in Martin, a remarkable person who enriched the lives of all those he touched. He is predeceased by his parents, Sara and Paul Sheffield. He will always be loved by Debi, wife of thirty-seven years. He will be forever missed by children Brandon, Samantha, Holden, Chelsey, Colin, and Lauren. He was their coach, mentor, confidant and at many times best friend. He is remembered by grandchildren Frankie, Alistair, Charlie, and Xavier as a fun and entertaining Zaidy. Martin is deeply mourned by his devoted sisters and brothers-in-law, Doreen and Mark Fishman, Beth and Sheldon Crystal, and their children.
A jeweler and gemologist by trade, he embraced a variety of businesses including e-commerce, horology and real estate. Always cheerful, and often downright hilarious, he enjoyed simple pleasures like a good hot dog, glass of red wine, and everything about Lake Muskoka. He was unique in every way. Above all else Martin cared for his family, ensuring the welfare, happiness and success of his children and their families.
Martin leaves behind an enduring legacy with his loved ones and a wealth of epic good times. He will be forever missed, remembered, and cherished. It is hard to imagine a world without him.
