Obituary
Peacefully after a long illness, Martha Lillian Everette left us to go and be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
Martha led a Christian life after deciding to change her life around and loved attending Revival and Restoration Church in Berens River. Martha worked as a cook in the Frontier School Division. She was also a long-time foster parent for Southeast Child and Family. She gave that up to devote her time caring for her disabled grandson.
Martha was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Everette; her long-time partner James Semple; her grandparents Willie and Eliza Ross; her sister Stella Semple; and her brother Lesley Everette; along with several other siblings who passed in infancy.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory six children: sons Blaine (Starla), Melvin (Melanie), Rainie, Vern, and Wade (Brenda); one daughter Terri; 31 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, to many to mention; four sisters: Carrie, Eliza, Beatrice, and Dora; one brother Glen; her one cherished aunt Madeline Boulanger; great friend Pastor Maria Swain; along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended family, and friends.
Thank you to the staff at Deer Lodge and the Grace Hospital, Berens River First Nation Chief and Council, and everyone who contributed and donated.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 7pm – 11pm at Eternal Grace Funerals.
Wake services will continue Wednesday, September 7, 2022, and Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Revival and Restoration Church, Berens River.
