Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Vern (2020). Loving mother of Heather Berry and Paul Redman. Cherished grandma of Tyler (Gill), Sean, Isaac, Jack and Liam. Daughter of the late Wanda and James Sutton. Dear sister of the late Joan Billings (late Don), Joyce Litwiller (late Neil), Bruce Sutton, Linda Freeman (Leroy), Wayne Sutton (Karen) and sister-in-law of Mildred Nesbitt (late Doug), Velma Wismer (late Crawford), Shirley Ames-Bittorf (Dave), Reta Mueller (late Roger), Joan Moore (Jim), Pauline McLellan (Rick) and Nancy Redmond (late Jerry). Predeceased by in-laws Doreen, Betty, Louis (Isobel), Ken (Nora) and Bob Ames. Marlene worked with Nelco Mechanical for 40 years. She loved gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends at the cottage in Sauble Beach.
Marlene’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 and from 12:00-12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (519) 749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to Diabetes Canada or Ray of Hope would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
