Passed away peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Friday January 28, 2022, Marlene Black (nee Cross) of Chesterville, age 80. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Black. Loving mother of Kim McCaffery (Kevin) of Ottawa. Dear sister of Nancy Edgerton (John) of Chesterville and David Cross of Chesterville. Dear sister-in-law of Barbara Casselman (Tom) of Napanee. Marlene will be fondly remembered by her grandsons Kyle, Logan and Conor. She was predeceased by her parents Willis and Helen Cross (nee Lewis), her brother Donald Cross and her sister-in-law Ann Cross. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Chesterville on Sunday May 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift “please notify the family”.
