March 25, 1933 – August 27, 2022
Died peacefully at home on Saturday, August 27, 2022, Marlene Baverstock (nee Staple) of Cherry Valley, died at the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late Harrison & Hazel Staple (nee Insley) and was the loving wife of Clayton Vader and the late George Baverstock. Marlene was the cherished mother of Floyd (Sue) of Burlington and David (Sabrina) of Athol and by her daughter-in-law Nora Molloy of Boulter. She will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandson. Marlene is survived by her brother Robert Insley (Paula), remembered by her nieces and nephews, the Vader family and by her best friend Dorothy Steenburg.
Mrs. Baverstock is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 2 pm with visitation for ½ hour prior to Service. Rev. Anne Marie Jones officiating. Cremation. If desired, donations to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
