It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mark Herman Smith, resident of Newcastle, Ontario. He passed away peacefully at home of natural causes. He is predeceased by his parents Herman, Jean, and his sister Georgina. He is survived by his daughter: Ashley (Phil) Pantalleresco, grandchildren: Blake, Tucker and Charlotte, and his siblings Eva, Fred, William, Moonie, and Eleanor. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, his dog Molly, and lifelong friend Tommy. Mark lived a life devoted to his family, friends, and hard work. He will be remembered for his positivity, his sense of humor, his generosity, his love of the outdoors, but most of all for his love of music, fast cars and being the life of the party.
Mark was a very proud 30-year Honorary Lifetime Member of the Ironworkers Union Local 721.
