Moffatt, Mark George – Age 65 of Upper Onslow. Mark fought many demons in his life and won, and for the last four months put up a strong fight for his health, but passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Richard and Marguerite (Goudey) Moffatt, originally from Yarmouth.
Mark did appliance repairs and worked on milking systems for many years. His true love job was as a herdsman on a few dairy farms. He worked for many years on the Van Den Hof farm in Milford, and thought the world of the family.
Surviving are his spouse, Diane (McNeil) Moffatt; stepdaughter, Melissa (Scott Burbridge), Porters Lake; son, Brandon Mancini (Kim Milberry), Truro; daughter, LauraAnne Mancini (Blake), Truro; grandkids, Gage, Seth and Danika; siblings, Steve (Jane), Stewiacke; Chris (Marianne), Alberta; Michelle (Brad), Florida. He will also be missed by his baby pet, Maggie; and special friend and morning phone buddy, Rodney Beck.
Special thanks to Dr. Hindler and his receptionist, Cathy; Palliative Care team Dr. Cortney Smith, Cheryl Graham RN and VON, LPNs and RNs.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 17, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at the family home at 8 Sunrise Court, Upper Onslow.
Mark was a true Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and his last words on that subject would be “Take that B.”
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
