Marjorie’s Obituary
Marjorie Grace Mehlsen was born April 22, 1930 in Hines Creek (AB) to Gertrude and John (Bert) Benson. She was know to her family as Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Great-Great-Grandma, as well as Marj.
Grandma married Frederick (Fred) Mehlsen on May 7, 1949 in Fairview (AB). Grandma & Grandpa had 4 children; Grace, Rick, Carol and Glenn. They farmed in the Dell area until they retired and moved into town. Grandma spent most her time going to bingo, playing Yahtzee and doing puzzles, and she enjoyed traveling. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with all of her family.
Marj passed away peacefully on February 2, 2022 at Fairview Continuing Care, at the age of 91 years.
She is pre-deceased by Husband Fred; Daughter Grace; Grandson Tyler; Daughter-in-law Cindie; Mother Gertie; Father Bert; Brother Earl.
Grandmas is survived by Son-in-law John Zaderey; Son Rick (Peg); Daughter Carol (Ron) Milner; Son Glenn; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson!
