The passing of Marjorie Josephine
Miller of Fredericton occurred on Saturday, January
8th, 2022, at the York Care Centre in
Fredericton.
Marjorie Miller was born in
Southampton, NB in 1926. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and
Laura Henry.
She worked for the NB Telephone
Company from 1943-1949, where she was the Chief Operator in
Southampton. She moved to Fredericton in 1949 and graduated from
Fredericton Business Collage in 1950. She worked in a number of
offices in
Fredericton.
She married Rev. Kenneth Miller in
1990 and moved to London, Ont. for 7 years. While there she was a
member of the First Baptist Church and served as a deacon on the
Deacon Board. She was Director for the Baptist Women for the
Middle-Lambton Association for 3 years. She and her husband moved
back to Fredericton in 1997. She was a member of the Brunswick St
Baptist Church and a Dominion Life Member of the United Baptist
Missionary
Union.
She is survived by brother Alton
(Myrna) Henry, Fredericton, daughter Kathy (Bob) Curran, Saint John
and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her
husband in 2004, her parents, and brother Lloyd (Avis), Leland
(Gertrude), and Helen
(Sheldon).
Due to Covid restrictions there will
be no Visitation or Funeral Service. Interment will take place at a
later date in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ont. Special thanks to the
wonderful care provided by York Care Centre Staff. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to York Care Foundation or a charity of the
donor’s
choice.
Bishop’s Funeral Home
