Marjorie Hoshel of Route 1 Atwood, passed away unexpectedly at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 27, 2022 at the age of 81. Marjorie was a member of Atwood United Church and the former Donegal United Church. Marjorie and Ken were married in Vandorf, Ontario October 16 1965. In 1974 they moved to Elma Township and purchased two farms with Ken’s brother Don and his wife Carolyn. Marjorie was an active member in her community. She was a member of the Federated Women’s Institute of Ontario, a 4H Leader, a member of the Donegal UCW and the Donegal Friendship Circle
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Hoshel whom she married in 1965. Loving mother of Steven Hoshel, Andy Hoshel (Stephanie Pedersen), Cathy Hoshel and special grandmother of Adam. Remembered by siblings John (Irene) Smith, Gwen (the late Ron) Pottage, Barbara (Vincent) Dawson and sister-in-law Helen Smith and Carolyn Hoshel.
Predeceased by her parents Vernon and Reta Smith and her siblings Ruby Petrie, Greta Chapman, Lawrence Smith, Marion Clark, brother-in-law Don Hoshel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John St Atwood. Funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday September 1, 2022 at 11 AM at the funeral home. with Rev. Beth Kerr officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
