In Celebration of
Marion Rosetta Brown
December 2, 1927 –
November 27, 2022
With sadness in our hearts, we announce that Marion Rosetta Brown passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, days before her 95th birthday.
Marion was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She married the love of her life, Harry, in 1952. Together they built a home and started their family, bringing six wonderful children into the world, Debra (Raymond), Virginia, Sandra, Jeffrey (Melissa), Linda (Ted) and Gregory.
Seven decades worth of love, joy, and happiness resulted in 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
We will remember Marion as kind-hearted, generous, and joyful. She was the epitome of a loving mother and was in her element when she was teaching young ones how to bake cookies, tend a garden or mend a shirt.
As much as the matriarch of a flourishing homestead, Marion was adventuresome and loved to travel. She and Harry packed up for two weeks of camping with the kids every summer to Killbear, Algonquin, or the Maritimes. Later, Harry and Marion globe-trotted, visiting many wonderful sun-filled destinations.
She and Harry were long-time members of the Historical Automobile Society of Canada, and she accompanied him on many tours.
Her family would like to extend their thanks to the hard-working team at Juravinski hospital and the care-givers at Summit Heights.
A private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton.
