Marion “Mal Smith December 19 1938 – January 10 2022

Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O’Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville on Monday, January 10, 2022, Marion “Mal” Smith of Hodges Cove, age 83 years. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Lillian Peddle; infant daughter Lynn. Left with fond and loving memories her children Hughie (Tina), Danny (Bonnie) and Michelle; grandchildren Chantalle, Jolene, Terrance, Stephanie, Shelly, Matthew, Susan, Jamie and Paul; great grandchildren Colby, Jersey, Danny Lynn, Spencer, Hayden, Jasper, Jordyn, Theo, Eva, Katie, David, Cole, Cody and Rachel; great great grandchild Lillian; sisters Shirley Peddle, Murial (Cecil Stringer) and Lynn Marsh; brother Willis Peddle; and a large circle of family and friends. As per her wishes cremation will take place. A private family service will be held at a later date. In her memory donations may be made to the Waterford Hospital or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic, St. John’s. The family wishes to thank Dr. Curtis and Dr. Porter and the staff at the Waterford Hospital for their care and compassion, also thank you to the nurses and staff at both the Golden Heights Manor and Dr. O’Mahony Manor for their wonderful care.
