1940-2022
Marion Jean Thibodeau – age 82, of
Centreville, formerly New Minas, passed away on Saturday, March 5,
2022 in Evergreen Home for Special Care. Born in Kentville, she was a
daughter of the late Minnie Farris. Marion grew up in Scotts Bay and
had been employed with M.W. Graves. She was a lifelong member of the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 6, Kentville
and loved music and dancing, playing games, especially card and
Yahtzee. She is survived by daughter, Deborah McGill (John McCulley);
grandson, Michael McGill, all of Canning; great-grandson, Damien
McGill, Alberta; stepsons, David Thibodeau, Baxter’s
Harbour; Danny Thibodeau, Halifax; Michael Thibodeau, BC; sisters,
Marie Best, Scotts Bay Road; Marilyn Dykens, Beverley Smith and Mari
Louise Zwicker, all of Waterville; brothers, Paul Zwicker and Junior
Zwicker, both of Waterville; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by husbands, Charles Brown and
Eugene Thibodeau; brothers, Charles Zwicker, Ronald Zwicker and Donald
Zwicker. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of
Marion’s life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on
Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Baxter’s Harbour Hall, followed
by the ringing of the bell at Baxter’s Harbour Baptist
Church. Interment will take place in Scott’s Bay Cemetery.
All are welcome. Donations in memory may be made to the SPCA.
