Montgomery, Marion Jacqueline “Jackie” –
Peacefully with her family by her side at the Village of Taunton Mills on September 4, 2022, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother to Andrea (Leonard) Kylie and Nicole (Trent) Thom. Adored grandmother of Danielle and Jessica. Aunt to John (Lea), Greg (Lori), Donald (Karen), and Nancy (Kathy). Sister of Noreen Marshall. Predeceased by her sister Anne Marie Dobson, her sister-in-law Helen (Montgomery) McKean and brother-in-law Frank McKean.
Jackie could be described as a generous, determined, kind, funny, clever, modest, gentle, loving, and loyal person. Her love of teaching, reading and being a life longer learner was intertwined in all that she did.
A Private Family Service will be held followed by cremation and interment at West Church Cemetery in Collingwood. In lieu of donations and flowers please embrace Jackie’s love of children and reading by reading a book to a child.

Death notice for the town of: Toronto, Province: Ontario
I’m am so sorry to hear of Jackie’s passing. She was an amazing educator and she so enjoyed sharing her love of learning by preparing so many children in the Beach in the basement classroom of her home on Bingham Avenue.
Fondly enough we still have some of the ornaments Jackie had the kids make and still come out at Christmas time.
My deepest sympathies to the girls and their families. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
My condolences to Jackie’s family during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of knowing Jackie as my son’s first educator. Not only did Jackie provide a welcoming environment for her students but she educated me about how play and reading developers a child’s mind.
To that I say Thank you!
Deepest Sympathy
Paulette Altilia
