Marion Gertrude Siddall 1934 2022

The death of Marion G.
Siddall, age 88, Port Elgin occurred on September 19,
2022 at the Westford Nursing Home where she had been a resident the
past ten years. Born January 8, 1934 she was the daughter of the late
Murray Gordon and Alberta (Bertie Chappell)
Siddall.
Besides her parents she was predeceased
by brothers Gordon, Carman, Donald and G. Burton (Tim). She was also
predeceased by her partner Alveata Smith and by her nephew Donald Eric
Siddall of Moncton who assisted her for many years before she entered
Westford. She is survived by several nieces and
nephews.
Marion was well known in the local area.
She and Alveata Smith operated the successful Drury Lane Steakhouse in
Aulac recognized as one of the top ten restaurants in Canada for many
years. Active in the community she was involved in local village and
provincial politics.
Marion was always appreciative of her
long term Port Elgin friends’ visits. In addition she was
very thankful for the visits and assistance of Janey and John Allen.
She received excellent care from the past and current staff at
Westford.
Arrangements are entrusted to
Jones Funeral Home, Sackville and Port
Elgin, NB (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken place and by
Marion’s request there will be no visitation or memorial
service. Burial will take place on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00pm
at the St. Mark’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Mount Whatley, NB. All are
welcome.
