Marion Elizabeth Pineo
1931-2022
It is
with great sadness that the family of Marion Elizabeth (Wallace)
Pineo, age 91, announce her passing. Surrounded by her loving family
at her side, she peacefully left us on July 29, 2022. A loving wife of
James Clark Pineo for 71 years; mother to five daughters, Jean Barton
(the late Rick Barton), Lorenda (Donnie) Veinot, Mary Pineo, the late
Darlene Lyons (James) and Michelle (Graham) Stark. She was a wonderful
caring grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two
great great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Keith and
Harriet (Power) Wallace; brothers, Arthur, Garnet, Victor and Keith;
daughter, Darlene; son-in-law, Rick; grandson, Chad Lyons;
brothers-in-law, Rupert Buckley and Frank Ells. She is also survived
by sisters, Beatrice Buckley and Jessie Ells; brother Thomas (Gloria)
Wallace; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was always a very hard
worker. Her working years included the White Spot, NS Sanatorium, Port
Williams Egg Grading Station, Hillaton Cold Storage and farm labourer
picking apples, blueberries, strawberries and potatoes. Mom did
whatever she could to help supplement family income, all the while
being a full-time wife and mother to five girls. Mom was loving,
caring and the most generous woman, which will live on with her family
forever. Special thanks to all the VON who were involved in
Mom’s care at home. Thank you to Dr. MacLeod, Dr. Schep, Dr.
Broaders and Dr. Mercer for their compassion shown to her during her
last days. To the nurses on the Surgical Unit of the Valley Regional
Hospital, thank you so much for the care and compassion shown to her
and her family. Going above and beyond, you are all true angels.

“In memory of all my
loved ones: Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us
every day. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven, and bring you all home again. A
long time gone, but never
forgotten.”
