Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce our lives changed forever by the passing of our beautiful precious Angel, Wife, Mom, Grand-Mother, great Grandmother, Stepmom, Aunt & Friend to many, Marina Collier (nee Edwards) on September 10th, 2022 at 11:40 am, with her family at her side.
Pre-deceased by: her parents Joseph & Clara Edwards; sisters: Ann, Ethel, Violet, and Clarice; and brothers: Raymond Mootrey and Kevin Cole; and cousin Isabelle Devon.
Leaving to mourn: the love of her life, her husband of 18 years Everest Collier; 3 children: Debbie (Kevin) Noseworthy, Sean (Cathy) Wells, and Laurie (Danny) Pond; 8 grandchildren: Stephen (Dalia), Michael (Ashley), Michael (Melissa), Shauna (Tomisin), Tyler (Julie), Jarod (Chelsea), Kelsey, and Troy; 6 great grandchildren: Logan, Emelia, Oliver, Lyla, Regan, and Clark; 10 step-children: Jimmy (Ada), Sean (Glenda), Linda, Barry (Eileen), Todd (Karen), Genieve (Dave), Walter, Edwina, Mark (Kena), and Naomi (John); 16 step grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; and a very special step granddaughter Cynthia Miles. She also leaves behind her 2 special girls: April and Samantha, who lovingly called her mom; As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins; best friend Helen Elsworth, with whom she shared many years of fun and loving memories together; special friends: Julie & James and Gertie & Gerard; Great mother and grandmother to so many people, to the kids on the street (making them bunny cakes); and a huge circle of extended family and friends.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 14th at 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM from Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville, followed by cremation. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel, Stephenville. Interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery.
For everyone who knew her she loved flowers, so flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Marina’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Special out-pouring of love and respect to her son Sean and daughter in law Cathy, whom she loved as her own daughter, from all the family for taking special loving care of her everyday needs for the past 2.5 years.
Thanks to Reliable Ambulance personnel for providing such warm support during a difficult time.
Gone but by God, will never be forgotten by so many. We know she is pain free and is walking and dancing once again with the angels and her loved ones.
