Marilyn Marlene Munn 19482022

Marilyn Marlene Munn
1948-2022
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Marilyn
Marlene (Parks) Munn, beloved wife and companion of Lawrence Richard,
which occurred at their residence at St. George NB on January 13,
2022. Born at Saint John NB on August 9, 1948, she was a daughter of
the late Arthur and Alice (Spinney) Parks.
A loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister and
aunt, she is survived by her husband Lawrence, sons: Ross (Leanne)
Munn of Bedford NS and Rodney Munn of St. George NB; special
grandsons: Alexander, Callum and Conner Munn; stepdaughters: Judy
(Torben) Eilerson of St. George NB, Suzan (Danny) Canning of St.
Stephen NB, Lorraine (Glenn) Leland of Caithness NB, Penny (Wade)
Anderson of Pennfield NB and Sandy Richard (Gary Yeo) of St. George NB
as well as their families; her brother: Byron (Anne) Parks of Port
Hawksbury NS; her sisters: Inez Taylor of St. George and Lois (Eugene)
McLanaghan of Pennfield NB; her nieces: Lisa (Jim) Needle St. George
NB and Melissa Saunders of Saint John NB; and grand nephews: Zachary
Needle and Liam Saunders. She was predeceased by her brother in law
Eugene Taylor.
Prior to her retirement, Marilyn worked for a number of
employers, last being the labeling room at Connors Brothers for more
than 20 years. She truly adored her family, especially her grandsons.
She enjoyed having houseplants and gardening as well as going for long
drives to see covered bridges. She had developed quite a collection.
Marilyn also had a passion for china dishes and sets, always admiring
a beautiful piece. She was an exceptional cook and loved cookbooks and
was forever sampling a new recipe. Her rhubarb squares were amazing
and her cooking passion developed from her grandmother Stella and her
aunt Beulah. She will be truly missed and always
remembered.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Marilyn’s
wishes, there will be no visiting or service at this time. A graveside
service will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring.
In Marilyn’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the family.
