Marilyn Jane Billinton Brough Friday December 31st 2021

Billinton, Marilyn Jane (née Brough) died on December 31st, 2021 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
Marilyn was born on October 30th, 1939 in Falkirk Scotland to parents William and Gladys and emigrated with her family to Montreal in 1947. She attended Chambly County High School where she met many life-long friends and attended Macdonald College, becoming an elementary school teacher.
An avid singer, it was through her participation in musical theatre with the St. Lambert Amateur Operatic Society that she met Jack Billinton and they were married at St. Lambert United Church on April 16th, 1960.
She was a kind, patient and loving mother raising four children as the family moved from St. Bruno, Quebec to Nepean, Ontario and eventually settling in Saskatoon where she made many friends through her involvement in groups such as University Women and the Royal University Hospital Auxiliary. She and Jack moved to Cambridge, Ontario in 2013 to be closer to her beloved children and grandchildren.
She is pre-deceased by her parents William and Gladys Brough, and her husband Jack (2015). She is survived by her loving children David, Robin (Laurie), Jane (Karl) and Steve (Mary) and her adoring grandchildren Jake, Alice, Cate, Rowan, and Maxim.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Andrew’s Terrace, MaryAnn Sinke, and Cambridge Memorial Hospital for late-in-life care. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
