It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Marilyn Anne Huskins on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 48 years old at the Rocky View Hospital.
She is survived by her amazing children, Damian Huskins and Aimeé Huskins both of Calgary, AB; nine siblings, Barb, Terry, Kenny, Muriel, Carmen, Dolores, Brenda, Amanda and Debbie. Marilyn was predeceased by her sister, Sylvie; mother, Darlene and her nephew Curtis.
Born on July 30, 1973 Marilyn was put into the foster care system at a very young age. She had many foster families but in particular the Knutson’s from Spiritwood, SK. By the age of 15 years old she decided to move to Calgary from Saskatchewan with her best friend Judy. Over the years, Marilyn focused on many different passions from real estate, working at the pharmacy but her main focus was finances. She loved working with money! At the age of 27 years old she had her first son, Damian and her daughter Aimeé at 32 years old. Out of all her passions over the years, her ultimate desire and true joy was being a mom. Marilyn was a mom not only to her own children but every child she met. She protected and loved them as her own. We will all miss her very much and will forever remember her in our hearts.
Relatives and friends wishing to pay their respects to Marilyn may do so at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 17th Ave SE) on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the same location on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:30pm.
