Obituary of Marie Therese Hornik
Passed peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie on Sunday, January 9, 2022 in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Edmond and Germaine Gagnon. Beloved wife of Daniel J. Hornik of Victoria Harbour and formerly of Belleville. Loving mother of Monica (Greg) Smith of Brighton, Daniel (Anne Miller) Hornik II of Mount Uniacke, NS, Christine (Maurice) Wilson of Whitby, Michele Hornik of Belleville and Melanie Hornik of Victoria Harbour. Cherished grandmother of the late Adam Smith, Andrew Smith, Megan (Jonathan) Pawluk, Kristen Hornik and Daniel Hornik III. Great grandmother of Sofia and Katie Smith. Terry is survived by her sisters, Paquerette Dery and Chantal Menard of Quebec. Pre-deceased by Violette Pinealt, Ghislaine Hebert, Edmonde Gagnon, Gemma Beaudoin and her brother Laurier Gagnon. Terry will also be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Terry loved her family and people, and had a passion for souls turning to Jesus.
The family will receive friends at Calvary Community Church on Thursday , January 13, 2022 from 10:30 to 11:45 with the Funeral Service to be held in the church at 12:00 p.m.
Those wishing to attend the visitation and or the service are required to preregister by emailing rsvp@steelefuneralhome.ca or by calling the funeral home at 613-968-2273 between 9:00 and 5:00.
The Service will be livestreamed by the church. We will post information on how to view as it becomes available.
Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel. Spring Interment Foxboro Cemetery.
