Marie Emmons
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Emmons. Marie passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2022, at the age of 88. Marie was predeceased by her husband Norman Emmons (2003). She was the very special mother and grandma to her two children, daughter Lynda Weetering (Gerrit), son Wayne Emmons (Sherry), and her granddaughter Heidi (Spencer). Marie is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marie’s life was all about her kids and granddaughter, to Marie life was all about her family.. She was the kindest and most loving person with the greatest smile we will ever know. We will all miss her very much.
Marie worked for many great years at Franklin Electric in Strathroy until its closing. She then became a crossing guard for 25 years, most of those years she was the crossing guard at “Goudie’s Corner” and then after the Colborne School closed, she moved to the Mary Wright School until she retired.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of Strathmere Lodge Parkview area for all of their kindness and care while Marie was there. You truly are an amazing group of people.
