Marie Paule Angeline Dempsey
Peacefully, at Bluewater Health , Marie Paule Angeline Dempsey (nee Boulanger), age 90 of Sarnia passed away on Monday, May23, 2022. Beloved wife and best friend of the late William Alfred Dempsey (2013) . Predeceased by her parents Hormdas and Alma Boulanger, sister Solange ( late Denis ) and brother Jean Marie ( Claudette ). Marie is survived by her children Donald Cote ( Marilyn ) of BC, Darquis Purdon ( Steve ) of Toronto, stepdaughters Bonnie Duquette (late Maurice ) of Wallaceburg and Cathy Mathany ( Michael ) ot Chatham and special friends Winston and Glennis Abbott of Sarnia. Also left to mourn are sisters Margot ( Michel ) Gilberte ( Jules) Jacqueline ( late Jacques ) Mariette ( late Roger ) and Bibiane ( Jean- Claude ). Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews in Quebec. Cherished grandmother of Dennis, Sonya, Trevor, Bryan ,Nicole, Randy, Ann Marie, Clarke, Ashley and Ian as well as several great grandchildren.
Marie was a waitress for many years and was well known in her community. She loved to bowl, play euchre and bingo in her retirement years. Her passion was sewing . She had a great sense of style and always took pride in her accomplishments . Her sense of humor , style, grace and tell it like is charm will be greatly missed . A special thank you to the staff at Bluewater Health for making her last days peaceful and comfortable.
As per Marie’s wishes cremation has been entrusted to D. J. ROBB Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9.
