BOUDREAU, Marie Jacqueline, 86 of St. Peter’s formerly of Petit de Grat.
It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Marie Jacqueline Boudreau on November 1, 2022 at the Richmond Villa after a long battle with dementia. Born in Arichat on October 10, 1936, Jackie was the daughter of the late Joseph David and Mary Sophie Richard. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Petit de Grat. She enjoyed being a member of the CWL and singing in the church choir. Over the years, she could be found partaking in activities at the New Horizon’s Seniors Club in Arichat and particularly loved a night out dancing. Jackie will be greatly missed by her children Carol (Aurelle) Landry, Johanna (Lloyd) George, Gerard Landry; stepchildren Sandra (Freddie) Boudreau, Lorna (Andre) Samson, Robert (Johanne) Boudreau; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister Monica Martell; brother Aurel David as well as her beloved sister-in-law Corine Landry. Besides her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her husbands Alfred Landry and Paul Boudreau. The family would like to express their thanks to the many hardworking and compassionate staff at the Richmond Villa. Cremation has taken place. No visitation per request. A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Jackie will be held November 7th, 2022 in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat at 11 am, with Rev. John DeCoste officiating. Burial to follow in the Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to the charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
