It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Hélène Desveaux, at the age of 86, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in the Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp.
Marie Hélène was predeceased by her husband, George W. Desveaux and parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Poirier) Desveaux.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Milton) Larade, Shanna (Charles) Balogh, Paul (Jeanne) Desveaux, Marcel (Debbie) Desveaux, Georgette Haché, and Roger (Betty) Desveaux; grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Desveaux, Roxane (Daniel) Haché, Dustin (Erin) Larade, Jordan (Megan) Desveaux, Courteney Desveaux, and Clinton Desveaux; great-grandchildren, Maélie and Brielle, Emma and Gwen, Mackenzie and Riley.
She is also survived by her sisters, Dorothy (Gordon) Mount, Rita (Phillip) Lohnes, and Julie May (David) Choban. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Jeanette Smith, and brother, Johnny Desveaux.
Marie Hélène, lovingly referred to as “la p’tite Mommy” by her children was well known for her love of family, religious devotion, and ability to see the goodness in others. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Michel Chiasson and all attending doctors. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Foyer Père Fiset who provided her with such great care.
Due to Covid 19, a private service was held for family only. Burial took place in the Jehovah Witness Cemetery.
