LEBLANC (Gaudet), Marie Bernadette
1932-2022 (Age 90)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Bernadette, on Monday June 20, 2022 in Tideview Terrace, Digby. A daughter of the late Charlie and Sadie (Thibault) Gaudet, she is survived by her husband, J. Albert “Bertie” LeBlanc; son, Edward (Colleen), Fredericton; daughter, Joanne (Brian) Mailman, Sherbrooke; granddaughters, Nicole (Adam), Natalie, Lesley (Josh); grandson, Craig (Jennifer), Toronto; sisters, Faith, Audrey and Theresa.
She was predeceased by sisters, Therese, Cerita, Alma, Isabelle; brothers, Emile, Herbert, Ulysse and Gustave.
Bernadette was employed for 30 plus years with the Federal Government (D.N.D. Maritime Command) at H.M.C. Dockyard, Halifax. She was a member of the Federal Superannuates National Association and also a past member of A.C.T.S. (Association of Communicator and Technicians Society, former member of Maritime Command), an active volunteer with her church, local senior club and canvasser for several organizations. She held various positions while volunteering.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Bernard Cemetery, St. Bernard.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Yarmouth Regional Hospital and Digby General Hospital, Dialysis Units.
