Marian passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by the love of her family in the early hours of Monday December 26th, 2022, at the age of 75 years. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret (Larkin) O’Connor sister Moira O’Connor and her husband of 35 years, John Dowdall.
She was the dearly loved and respected mother of Jason (Julie), Greg (Jackie) and Joe (Lauren) Dowdall, proud nana of Justin, Jayden, Carlie, Tessa, Jack, Brooklyn, Bree and Lola. Marian will be greatly missed by her siblings Paul (Linda) O’Connor, Clare (late Donnie) Nesbitt, Phil (Tilly) O’Connor, Jerome (Shirley) O’Connor, Janet (late Curtis Harry) O’Connor, Vincent (Marion) O’Connor and Stephen (Terry Watters) O’Connor. She will be fondly remembered by her foster brother Simon Auriat, her nieces, nephews, the Dowdall family and many good euchre, poker and bingo friends.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth Thursday December 29th, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Catholic Church, Perth Friday at 11:00 A.M. followed by interment in St. Johns Cemetery. Those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre, Ottawa or the Perth Legion, Branch 244 Perth. A reception in the Perth Civitan Hall will follow the interment. “Marian leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and always caring for others.”
