van den Burg– Marianne (nee Rietdyke) of Extendicare-Port Stanley passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of Johannes Cornelius van den Burg. She is survived by her children John (Karen) van den Burg, Mary Davies, Elly (Mike) Flay, and Pieter (Ginny) van den Burg; by her grandchildren Veronica, Alexa, and J.P. van den Burg, Brian Davies, Liam, Jack, and Lena van den Burg; by her sister Ria (late Ben) Berkelens; her siblings-in-law Henk (late Elly) Vellekoop, Mary (late Ab) de Waal, Ineke (late Case) van den Burg, and Tony (Hennie) van den Burg; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Pieter and Maartje Rietdyke, and by her sister-in-law Jeanette Vink. Marianne enjoyed puzzling, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Marianne was also a member of the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral will be held at The Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas (145 St. George Street) on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to MS Society of Canada would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
