Matisz (nee Feher), Maria
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Matisz on April 11, 2022 at 94 years of Age. Born May 27, 1927 in Karacsond, Hungary, to Maria and Antal, she was the youngest of 3 children. Her older sister was Erzsebet and older brother was Antal.She is the beloved wife of the Late John Matisz (2002), and the beloved mother of Eva Henderson (John). Missing her dearly will be her grandchildren Barbara Dupuis (Mike), Michael Windhaus (Tammy), and Christina Henderson.Her great grandchildren Danielle and Cindy Dupuis, and Mathew and Brian Windhaus, will always remember the games of Bingo they played together. She is also survived by nieces Magdolna Balogh (Janos) in British Columbia, and Irenke Bujaki (Sandor) in Hungary. Known by everyone as Oma, she will always be remembered for her baking and cooking. Also for her love of animals, including her cat Rusty, who is now with Linda. Funeral Visitation at Windsor Chapel, South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234 on Monday, April 18th from 4 – 8 pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, April 19th at 10:30 am in the chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
