At LHSC University Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022 Maria Arcese, born in Ceprano, Italy, in her 89th year. Loving wife of 65 years of Giuseppe Arcese. Proud mother of Simona (Vince) Circelli and Rob (Michelle) Arcese. Loving Nonna of Joe (Raquel), Paolo (Flora), Davide (Tanya), Marco (Olivia) Circelli, Samantha, Alexandra and Sara Arcese. Bis Nonna of 8 soon to be 9 great grandchildren. Cherished sister of Elio (late Elena) Marti, Arduino (Carmelina) Di Palma, Rosetta (Pierangelo) Guglielmini, and Giuseppina (late Mario) Baldassarre. Dear sister in law of late Fernando (Elena) Arcese, late Antonio (Angelina) Arcese, late Paolo (Barbara) Arcese, Filomena (late Andrea) Senese and Anna Arcese. Zia Maria will be missed and always loved by many nieces, nephews and their families in Italy and Canada. Maria was a dedicated and loyal employee of Northern Telecom for 32 years. Maria was hard working and passionate, a great cook who loved to feed her family and friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, January 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. (1/2 hour increments). Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning, January 28th at 11 o’clock.(Mass is full) Registration is required for both visitation. Please email donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with your name, phone number and time preference for visiting. Private entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
