Obituary
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday February 3rd, 2022 at Ivan Franko Home, Etobicoke, in her 96th year.
Predeceased in 2016 by her beloved husband of 65 years, Michael.
Loving mother of Nadia Lehun (William) and Roman (Lesia). Cherished Babchya of Katryn Dodd (Phillip), Jonathan Lehun (Frances), Alexander (Lida), Paul, Michael and Emily and Prababchya of Avery and Austyn.
Loving aunt to Irene Bilaniuk (Jura).
Maria will be dearly missed by her family and friends and her extended family in Ukraine.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Ivan Franko home in Etobicoke for the loving care of their mother.
Family and Friends will be received at the Cardinal Funeral Home Annette Chapel on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm followed by the Panakhyda at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 7 at 10 am at St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. Please register below.
In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral or Ivan Franko Home, Etobicoke would be appreciated.
