It is with profound sadness and sorrow, that we announce the sudden passing of our mother and nonna, Maria Lecce.
Maria was predeceased by her husband, Fausto Lecce and her son in law, Sergio De Blasio. She is survived by her three daughters, Angela (Roberto) De Angelis, Sandra De Blasio, and Carla (Domenico) Cimaglia. Maria will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her four grandchildren, Michael (Isabella), Daniella De Angelis, Gianluca and Alessia De Blasio. Maria is also survived by her brother, Franco (Silvana) Granata and her sister, Aurora (Salvatore) Marrelli, as well as her brother and sisters in law and many relatives from Vancouver, Italy, and the USA. Maria will also be sadly missed by her best friend, Comare Elisabetta La Chimea, whom she shared a cup of coffee with every day for 55 years.
Prayers will be offered on Tuesday July 19, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. and a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 20, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park Burnaby, BC.
Mom, your smiling face, and dancing eyes will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew you. We love you and will always hold you close to our hearts.
