Peacefully on August 21, 2022, at St. Michael’s. Beloved wife of Filippo for 66 years. Cherished by her children Rocco (Janette), Angelo (Josie), Mary (Robert) and Santo (Sandra). Loving Nonna to Adriano (Andrea), Alessandro (Melissa), Alicia (David), Matthew, Nicholas, Alessia, Andrea and bisnonna to Matia, Sevia, Tristan, Nico, and Lucas. Forever remembered by her brother Rocco (Giuseppina) and sisters-in-law Carmelina, Angela, and Giuseppina. Our gratitude to Dr. Subodh Verma and the health care workers at St. Michael’s Hospital for their care and compassion.
Angelina was a devoted mother that enjoyed bringing the family together with a home cooked meal. She was a fundamental part of Zito’s Marketplace and enjoyed working with her son and grandsons. She has a love of flowers and growing her own vegetables. She enjoyed her time at the Pension Social Club playing cards and bocce with the ladies. She warmed everyone’s hearts with her bright smile and joking nature. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many long-time friends.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 2-9 p.m. at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W). A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery (7241 Jane St., north of Steeles Ave. W.) In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
