Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 10, 2022. Marguerite received the greatest 89th birthday gift ever – to go home to God and experience the glory of eternal life with our Blessed Lord Jesus. Loving wife of the late Lt. Col. Thomas Wm MacDonald. Cherished mother of Coleen Bisnauth, Alayne O’Rourke(Tom Merwin), Shawn O’Rourke(Marsha Staples), Patricia O’Rourke, Father Thomas O’Rourke, C.Ss.R., and Robert O’Rourke(Sandy O’Rourke). Treasured grandmother, great grandmother and auntie to many. Dear sister of Pauline Lenko. She is predeceased by her brothers, Maurice “Moe” Frigault, and Lionel Frigault. She will also be greatly missed by many family members and friends. Co-founder and director of the Open Arms Haven for Women.Marguerite was a long-time member and past president of the CWL at Our Lady of the Assumption, Elfrida. She will always be remembered by her tremendous artistic talents, from her oil painting to her crocheting. Special thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Juravinski Hospital. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (Between Mohawk and Fennell) on Sunday October 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catharine of Siena, Our Lady of Lourdes Site, 416 Mohawk Rd. E. on Monday October 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. As per Marguerite’s wishes, cremation to take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Neighbour to Neighbour or The Good Shepherd Centres.
