Obituary of Margery Ann Roe
Roe, Margery Ann (nee Holdaway)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margery Ann Roe at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the age of 90.
Born March 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ray & Margaret (nee Galloway) Holdaway.
Margery is reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 69 loving years, Murrary Roe (2020) and her daughter, Jayne Roe (1960).
Margery was the beloved mother of Carolyn Lancaster (Paul), John (Karen), Anne Campbell (Robert), James (Sonya) and Jeffrey (Lisa).
Margery was the proud grandmother of 12 Grandchildren and great-grandmother of 10 Great-Grandchildren who were all her pride & joy.
Loving sister to 6 siblings, all predeceased, Keith Holdaway (Jean), Barbara McMillan (Ross), Doug Holdaway (Florine), Kenneth Holdaway (Joan), Jean Sparks-Crackel (Jack, Ken) and Donald Holdaway (Peggy).
She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gary Roe (Jane).
Margery was a bookkeeper working, working at St. Clair Grain & Feeds in Merlin for many years during which she forged lasting friendships with co-workers and neighbours.
Margery enjoyed gardening, baking, playing the piano (self taught), traveling and shopping trips with family.
A Private Service will be held with burial in Pardoville Cemetery. Masks are optional and please practice social distancing whenever possible.
In memory of Margery, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
