Obituary of Margaret McMillan
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret “Peggy” McMillan announces her passing. She slipped away quietly after a brief stay at the Sus Health Centre on December 28th, 2022. She enjoyed a long, full life, having just turned 95.
Born in Norton, N.B. on December 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Sophia (Northrup) Langell and was their last surviving offspring.
Peggy is survived by her husband Bert, currently residing at Ridgewood Veteran’s Hospital in Saint John; her daughter, Nancy Armitage (Terry) of Sundre, AB, and family, Sheri Wenzl (Berno) of Bath, ON, and family, and her son, William McMillan and family.
Peggy is also survived by her four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was a charter member of Faith Bible Baptist Church where she served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday School teacher and pianist for several years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, N.B. (506-433-1176). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Faith Bible Baptist Church (33 Pine St., Sus N.B.) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life. A reception will follow at the church where all are invited to stay and share memories and fellowship with the family.
