It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Gwendolene Noseworthy announce her passing on July 24, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at the age of 92years.
She leaves to mourn Derek (Ruby) Noseworthy- Robinsons, NL, Craig (Wanda) Noseworthy- St. Fintans, NL, Dawn (David) Gilliam- NB, Heather (Andrew) Gillam- Kippens, NL, Martin Alley-Robinsons, NL; 13 grandchildren: Murray, Jeffrey, Natalie, Dennis, Natasha, Samantha, Stephanie, Matthew, Hillary, Brady, Cameron, Dylan, Hannah and 11 great-grandchildren.
Gwen was a strong independent woman of unwavering faith. She spent her life serving her community and Church and touched the hearts of many children as a Guiding Leader and helping the servers at her Church. She was a familiar sight sitting in front of the organ at many church functions. With a large circle of friends, she would spend countless hours knitting, sewing, cooking or baking for her community. Always prepared to lend a hand or help any person in need. However, Gwens biggest passion was her husband of 54 years and her family. She worked tirelessly to ensure they remained close to her heart. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and community.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Joseph Noseworthy; daughter Glenys Alley; parents Thomas Suley and Bertha Suley (Tucker); sisters: Minnie and Rita; brother Clarence
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Michaels & All Angels Church Fund.
Visitation on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, 2-4 & 7- 9 pm. at the St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, St. Davids where the service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 with Reverend Norman Cutler officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in St. David’s, NL.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.
