Obituary
In the Afternoon of July 31, 2022 Margarete Nixon of Ladysmith passed away at the age of 69
Margarete was born to Emil & Herta Doberstein in 1952. She was raised in Ardrossan area, where she met and married in July 1969 Patrick Nixon. Together they raised their 2 children Duane & Cheryl Nixon in the Tofield & Sherwood Park Area.
Margarete also had 2 other children, Tina Nixon who passed away as a newborn in 1971 and a baby boy who was placed for adoption in 1968.
In June 2015 she happily met her adopted Son and family. Her loving son Warren and wife Corinne Cooper, their son Kyle Cooper, his 2 children Cohen & Brantley Cooper. Daughter Stephanie Cooper & Jeff Boyer and their son Donnie Boyer.
Margarete had an extreme love of the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and gardening. She loved her home and made her yard, her “Garden of Eden.” She loved her pond of fish, frogs and a turtle. As well as her flowers, berries and fruit trees. She always worked hard at everything she did and it showed the most in her beautiful yard.
Margarete is preceded in death by her father Emil, mother Herta, brother Walter & sister Gisella
She is survived by her husband Patrick, son Duane, daughter Cheryl & her eldest son Warren Cooper & family, as well as her niece Tracy Doiron & family and nephew Scott Doberstein & family.
A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.
