Margaret Yvonnette Eve Sholund Rivait 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear sister and aunt, “Eve”. Cherished sister of Jeannette Lefaive, Catherine Anglin, Larry Rivait, Fran Rowe, Margaret Sigouin (Terry), and the late Annabelle Dayton, Claire Faulkner, Paul Rivait, and Pauline Parent. Sister-in-law of Betty Rivait. Precious aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In 1944 Eve left Windsor to marry her first love Walter Stiers. They resided in Michigan and Florida and enjoyed forty-four beautiful years of marriage. Eve was widowed, and later married her second love John Sholund. They continued their retirement years in Florida until his death in 1997. At the age of 90, Eve decided it was time to return home to Windsor, and she enjoyed eight more years at Amica Riverside.
The Amica staff’s care, compassion, warmth, and friendship helped extend Eve‘s years of life. For this, we are most grateful. We sincerely thank them for making Amica Eve’s “home away from home”.
A very special heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to Eve’s niece Jeannine Bourgard, whom Eve loved like a daughter. The love, kindness, and care you gave Aunt Eve was unwavering. We will always be grateful to you for allowing her to live her best life while home with us.
Eve, we’ll miss your constant love for all of us, sense of humour, classy ways, and beautiful personality.
God decided to call you home. We take great comfort in knowing that you are now in the palm of His hand. May you rest peacefully in His eternal glory.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, at 11 am at Good Shepherd Church 462 Advance Blvd, Tecumseh, Ontario.
