Werden– Peacefully into the arms of Jesus at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia on Tuesday August 16, 2022. Margaret Werden, age 95 years formerly of Corunna and Alvinston. Loving wife of the late Rey Werden (1995). Much loved mother of Don Werden and his wife Marg of Port Ryerse, Mary Fisher and her husband Dennis of Guelph, Ralph Werden and his wife Martha of Wilkesport, Julia Henderson and her husband Les of Courtright and mother-in-law of Josee Bergeron of Quebec City. Tresured grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Marie Lowe (Darwin) and Gladys Beaton and sister-in-law of Frances Fairweather, Faye Beaton and Betty Beaton. Margaret was predeceased by; her son, Douglas Werden (2021); her grandson, John Werden (1992) and by her brothers, Jack and Harold Beaton. She was a life member of the U.C.W. and Women’s Institute and she was a past member of Ebenezer and Hope United Churches prior to joining Corunna United Church in 2005. Friends will be received at the Corunna United Church on Monday August 22, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Breen officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service and the interment will take place in Alvinston Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available on the Corunna United Church Facebook page beginning at 11:30 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Corunna United Church or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
