Obituary
It is with broken hearts and fond memories that the family of the late Margaret Rose Madore (Mag) announce her peaceful passing on Monday, October 31st, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL, after battling a lengthy illness.
Mag was an avid sports fan, enjoyed her fishing, and was loved by all. Left to mourn are her siblings: Estelle Coady of Cape Broyle; Walter Madore (Jean) of Corner Brook; Jerome Madore (Marg) of Grand Prairie; Cecilia Hefferton of Corner Brook; Mary George (Norm) of Corner Brook; Bernadette Holliday (Steve) of Virginia Beach, and Irene Madore (Don) of Labrador City; sister-in-law: Betty Madore of Dartmouth; as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her homecare workers.
Mag is predeceased by her parents: Frank and Bridget Madore; infant sister: Olive; sister: Ann and her husband Junior Coady; brothers: Alfred, George and wife Norma; as well as her brothers-in-law: Edward (Ned) Coady, and Conrad Hefferton.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their special care, as well as Mag’s family doctor, Dr. J. Boulis.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 4th, 2022 at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish at 10:30 AM with Father Lee Lainey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. No flowers by request, instead; a donation can be made in Mag’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca).
