“Margaret” Rita Gillis
1925-2022
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital,
surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 17, 2022 of
Margaret Gillis (nee Cheverie) of Charlottetown, age 96 years. Beloved
wife of the late Daniel Gillis and dear mother of Darlene Gillis,
Blair (Kim) Gillis, Lennie (Cindy) Gillis and Joyce (Jim) Marshall.
She is also survived by 6 loving grandchildren, Jasmine, Joelle,
Ashley, Kelley, Jamie and Matt, and 4 great-grandchildren, Melanie,
J.J., Joshua and Kaylee.
Predeceased by her parents and siblings.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown
Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 22,2022 at
the Holy Redeemer Church at 2 p.m. (current restrictions of 75%
capacity). Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery,
Charlottetown.
Visitation on Monday, March 21, from 4-7 p.m. (Up to 100
people).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the
Canadian Diabetes Association – PEI Chapter.
