In Loving Memory of Margaret “Peggy” (Weir) Sottile, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Tony Sottile. Loving daughter of William and Elizabeth Weir, both predeceased. Cherished sister of Bill predeceased, Patrick predeceased (June), Lily (Johnny O’Rourke predeceased), and Josie (Tony Looney predeceased). Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and overseas. Peggy was born in Cavan, Ireland and followed her brother to Canada. She was a wonderful volunteer at Inner City Home, The Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis, and she was active in the Irish Heritage Club and was on the Organ Awareness Committee organizing the Annual Walk. Peggy worked in Sudbury for many years at Kresge’s, Morse Jewelry, and Eaton’s. She leaves a great legacy of love, care, and commitment to all who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. K. de Blacam and the staff on the 8th floor of Health Sciences North for their kind assistance. Memorial Mass at Christ the King Church, 21 Ste Anne Rd, Sudbury, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 1 PM, (Friends welcome at the church after 12:45 PM Thursday), Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to Inner City Home or Blue Door Café would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
