Obituary
Margo passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospital last weekend just before her 85th birthday.
Her children want to extend their gratitude to the hospital staff; Tracy Pambrun, who represented the spirit of Margo´s community of helpers who assisted her at home in the last years of her life.
Margo was born and raised on a farm in the Edwell district and later moved to the town of Red Deer, then moving to Winnipeg, Calgary, and back to Red Deer. The daughter of Charlie and Kate (Carswell) McPhee (deceased), and Sister to Jack (d.) (Gilberte). Don (Shirley) and Mac (Lillian) McPhee. She will be lovingly missed and honored by her first husband, Joe Driscoll, and subsequently Richard (Dick) Foster.
Margo instilled her high values of faith and education in her five children, Sandra (Larry) Evjenth, Linda (Peter) Rytkonen, Diane Driscoll, Michael (Cheryl) Driscoll, and Trevor (Patty Huber) Driscoll; her seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Margo’s career was with CIBC in Calgary. Some of the things that brought her great joy were the winters in Yuma Arizona, dancing, going to musical jams, and reading novels.
The family will hold a Celebration of her Life in Calgary on February 4, 2023 (details to follow), and her ashes will be laid to rest in the spring, her favorite season, with her mother and father in Red Deer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Margo´s name can be made to the Red Deer Public Library or the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Margaret Margo Alice Foster November 25 1937 November 13 2022 (age 84)..
