It is with saddened hearts and love that we announce the passing of Mrs. Joan Boyce of Innisfail, Alberta. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Joan was born on September 20, 1930, at the family farm in the Horn Hill District, she was the youngest of four children born to Ivan and Annie Parcels. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Debbie (Dennis) and son Jim (Haydie); grandchildren: Tyler (Kayla), Vikki (Dante), Lance and Lauren; great grandchildren: Lanna (Derek), Brady, Hannah, Maggie, Lena, Porter, Gabbie, Bradley, Sophia, and one great-great grandson Tanner. Joan also leaves to mourn, in-laws Shirley Parcels, Joyce Boyce and Bill and Beth Boyce and Burlette Looy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Allan; her sisters Barb and Betty; her brother Mac. Joan’s family would like to express a very heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Chauhan and all the staff at Sunset Manor. The wonderful care and compassion she received, while a resident was exemplary. Funeral Services will be held at Baptist Church of Innisfail, Woodland Road, Innisfail, on Saturday, March 5th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, #306, 10430 61 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6H 2J3 or Camp Little Red, Box 334, Bowden, AB T0M OKO.
