Margaret Jane

Margaret Jane Bulger 2022

Marg passed away peacefully in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Hank (Francis) Bulger. Loving mother of Darlene (Wayne) Sherman, Cinda (Bruce) Hodgson and Paul (Marguerite) Bulger. Cherished grandmother of Stacey (Mike) McTaggart, Tammy (Adam) Sgroi, Krista (Jay) Tullock, Cara Hodgson, Jeff (Amy) Hodgson and Troy Bulger. Adored great-grandmother of Alexandra and Victoria McTaggart, Charlie and Sebastian Sgroi, Chelsea and Emma Tullock and Zachary Hodgson. Dear to many nieces, nephews and friends. Marg will be fondly remembered for her deep love of others, of animals, and of nature. She enjoyed nothing more than a room full of family, friends and pets at her home in Richmond Hill and at the cottage on Rice Lake. Marg was a beautiful swimmer, diver and canoeist, and was so proud that she passed these talents down to her grand- and great-grandchildren. She was always eager for a game of cards, alleys or bingo but equally content with quiet conversations watching the glorious sunsets over the lake. Marg’s favourite good-bye ended with “Don’t forget how much I love you!”
We will miss you and always love you “Forever And A Day.” A visitation will take place from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday January 21, 2022 at MacCoubrey Funeral Home 30 King St. E., Cobourg. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:15 pm on Friday January 21, 2022 at St. Michael’s Church 379 Division St, Cobourg. Anyone wishing to attend the visitation at the funeral home or the mass at St. Michael’s must R.S.V.P. for both at www.MacCoubrey.com. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team from Southlake Hospital. Those wishing, may make a memorial donation to the SPCA or to the Alzheimer’s Society.

  1. So sad to hear of the passing of Marg. She was always such a joy. I have very fond memories of playing cards and assembling those crazy vacuum cleaner bags at the kitchen table in Richvale. Always laughing, smiling and having a kind word. She and Hank will always have a special place in my heart.
